About The Position

The Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Minnesota Twins is responsible for developing and implementing performance enhancement programs for players at the Minor League level. This role emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to maximize player potential through innovative program design and collaboration with various teams within the organization. The coach will actively participate in player development, integrate with field staff, and support the overall performance enhancement strategy of the organization.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Exercise Science, or related field.
  • CSCS certification in good standing through NSCA.
  • CPR/AED certification in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Strength & Conditioning Program in Professional Baseball, Collegiate or private setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate with non-English speaking athletes and staff.
  • RSCC certification through the NSCA.
  • Experience with OnBase U, K-Vest, 4-D, or other motion capture systems.
  • Experience with FMS/SFMA, FRC, PRI, DNS, or related principles.
  • Experience with Force Plate and motion capture biomechanical analyses.
  • Experience with wearable technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement holistic performance enhancement programs for Minor League players.
  • Participate in continued education opportunities and promote a growth-mindset culture.
  • Complete individualized professional development plans as directed.
  • Reinforce organizational initiatives regarding strategy and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Minor League field staff to improve performance enhancement decision-making processes.
  • Work on movement mechanics related to baseball skill acquisition.
  • Engage in a Team of Team approach to ensure forefront performance enhancement.
  • Coordinate with sports medicine, nutrition, psychology, and science staffs on player rehab and return-to-play protocols.
  • Implement monthly and weekly movement and performance assessments.
  • Support nutrition initiatives for performance fueling considerations.
  • Design individual off-season strength and conditioning programs for players.
