About The Position

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Churches of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. ‌ Serve as primary support to the Doctor of Ministry and GST Residency programs, coordinating program operations and logistics. The Graduate School of Theology is seeking to hire a Ministry Programs Coordinator to support the work of the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) and GST Residency Programs. This role will work with appropriate stakeholders to manage the daily functions and operations of both the Doctor of Ministry and Ministry Residency programs of the Graduate School of Theology. This is a newly established position within the Graduate School of Theology that will support and strengthen the Seminary’s existing and expanding ministry programs and establish robust partnerships with Doctor of Ministry students, Ministers, and Local Congregations. This role includes administrative and managerial components that ensures the flourishing of seminary ministry programming under the supervision of the Dean of the Graduate School of Theology. This position is grant-funded through December 31, 2029 with opportunity for a permanent transition into a full-time staff position.

  • Workday (travel and expense management)
  • Professional Bachelor’s degree and three years of office experience preferred
  • Good office skills
  • Self motivated – must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and attention to details
  • Must function efficiently and maintain self-control in stressful situations
  • Warm and friendly, good communicator, able to work with peers
  • Discretion and good judgment when handling confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistical and managerial support to the DMin and Residency Programs
  • Perform various administrative duties in the Graduate School of Theology and various personal assistant duties for seminary officers
  • Serve as the primary assistant to the DMin and Residency Program Directors
  • Provide professional front-line communication and serve as a resource for students, faculty, and external partners.
  • Manage the project/thesis process for DMin students involving record keeping, Institutional Review Board guidance to students, and student dissertation progress.
  • Support student progress tracking, including monitoring degree milestones, candidacy submissions, and academic requirements.
  • Coordinate logistical and managerial components of the Ministry Residency Program
  • Function as part of the larger administrative team within the Graduate School of Theology.
  • Collaborate with the Registrar’s Office and other administrative departments to ensure accurate student records, billing, and program compliance.
  • Work with with Student Services Coordinator to plan DMin events
