A Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to projects focused on improving mining conditions and economics. Term September 8th to December 18, 2026 Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site. 9/80 schedule if applicable.

Requirements

• Sophomore level by May 2026 or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
• 2.75 GPA or higher.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Experience working in a team environment is a must.
• Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.
• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assignments will involve learning all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping and more.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, mine operators, engineers (of various disciplines), lab personnel, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
