About The Position

This role will carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to fixed and mobile plant in an open cut environments. Duties will include visibly supporting and championing our client's Mission and Values, acting in accordance with and adhering to Safety as a Way of Life Management System, inspecting work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects, examining drawings or specifications to determine work methods, diagnosing faults or breakdowns, estimating time and materials required to complete jobs, raising orders for materials, undertaking repairs or component changeouts as required, cleaning and maintaining tools and work area, training other personnel or apprentices if required, and ensuring activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements. Other duties may be assigned by the company.

Requirements

• Three years’ experience performing electrical maintenance work in a heavy industrial environment or mine site is preferred
• Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot situations arising in the pit area as needed
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and at different times of day
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by business need
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime when required
• High School Degree or GED Equivalent required
