About The Position

Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Mining/Civil Site Design Project Manager to join our southeast engineering team. With expanding opportunities in the region and a variety of clients, the ideal candidate will join our high achieving, fast-paced team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in mine planning, resource management, reclamation, and stormwater management is especially relevant. This is a hybrid office role and can be in: Charlotte, NC Raleigh, NC Greensboro, NC

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary design, permitting and construction
  • Ability to actively develop and maintain client relationships
  • Capability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts
  • Understanding of financial management concepts
  • 6+ years of related experience in mining or industrial projects, including 2+ years of project management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Consulting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing project execution including proposal development, project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and delivery quality
  • Overseeing pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns and suggest solutions to solve project challenges
  • Leading technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams and driving customer value
  • Nurturing and growing client relationships
  • Supporting the achievement of professional staffs’ career goals
