About The Position

The Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics is seeking an experienced physician committed to an academic career in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will serve as a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon (MIGS) within the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics with an active inpatient and outpatient practice focused on the evaluation and surgical treatment of complex benign gynecologic conditions. The candidate would be expected to train Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellows as part of our AAGL approved training program.

Requirements

• Must have a terminal degree (MD or DO).
• Successfully completed a 4-year ACGME accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) is required.
• Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all clinical activities of the Division of Complex Benign Gynecologic Surgery at Emory, particularly at The Emory Clinic and Emory University Hospitals.
• Deliver excellent care to patients while growing and expanding access for gynecological patients to the Emory clinical practices.
• Participate in group call averaging 7-8 weeks per year providing consultative weekend and night coverage.
• Provide teaching instruction and supervision to MIGS fellows, residents, and medical students in Gynecology.
• Provide lectures to MIGS fellows, residents, and medical students as requested.
• Attend Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, Division meetings and other Departmental activities.
• Participate in mentorship of MIGS fellows, residents, and medical students.
