About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy or farm equipment is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications and ability to learn new software programs.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including percentages and basic algebra.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mining or heavy equipment operation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial equipment used for drilling, blasting, cutting, and hauling salt in an underground environment.
• Perform work area and equipment inspections.
• Conduct scaling activities to ensure safety.
• Operate heavy equipment including service vehicles, dump trucks, powder rigs, and drills.
• Handle blasting materials and obtain a blasting license through State Police.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area.
• Work rotating shifts as required.
