About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join our Mining team across our Leonora operation. 8 days on and 6 days off roster FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or residential to Leonora Quarterly bonuses, site allowance and employee share options Air-conditioned, comfortable accommodation facilities with private ensuite Onsite gym, pool, recreation room, BBQ area and access to the Leonora Township facilities The Role: Reporting to the Senior Mine Suveyor this role will deliver high-precision surveys, manage mine survey data, support month-end calculations, and ensure compliance with survey standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Relevant surveying qualifications
- Sound demonstrated experience in surveying at open pit mining operations
- Experience in a contract mining environment
- High level of personal organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik preferred) and Microsoft Office software
- Proficiency with Leica total stations, Trimble GPS, DJI UAV's and Optech CMS.
Nice To Haves
- Authorised Mine Surveyor (Grade 2) preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate open pit surveying, maintain up-to-date mine survey records, and support mine planning activities.
- Assist in reviewing and improving survey procedures while ensuring statutory and operational compliance.
- Contribute to reporting, reconciliations, and workflows that enhance operational efficiency and safety.
