About The Position

Reporting to the Mine, Project Supervisor, the Mine, Project Lead will be focusing primarily on the Fencing Project, you’ll play a critical role in supporting mining operations by assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fencing around our Copper World Mine site. This project will ensure the safety and security of our critical minerals (Copper), equipment, buildings and most importantly our employees. The position involves inclosing 4,500+ acres to safety standards. The lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of fencing project and other projects needed. The lead ensures that all project activities align with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives, delivering secure and compliant perimeter fencing solutions. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. This is a cross-functional role requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Authorization to work in U.S
  • 5+ years of experience working in a construction capacity (oil & gas, mining, construction, etc.); and, or 
  • 1-2 years of senior, lead, or supervisory experience. 
  • Must have a clean driving record, role requires you to drive company vehicles/heavy equipment (company must be able to insure you)
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (skidsteer, backhoe, bulldozer, loaders, compactors, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in fencing installation and maintenance in a plus.
  • Previous experience with tape measure, level, digging tools, pliers, cure cutters, fence stretcher, cable grip, piper wrench, hacksaw, pipe cutter, rachet & sockets, drill, impact driver, etc.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Current MSHA.
  • Current Caterpillar Certifications
  • Have reliable personal transportation to the site location (transportation at the site will be in company vehicles)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, safety, procurement, and field teams to ensure project requirements are met and standards are upheld.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timelines and quality standards.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to senior management and other key stakeholders regularly.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify that fencing installations meet design specifications.
  • Responsible for understanding changes to assigned work areas and any potential hazards
  • Site Preparation – reports to site, prepares and clears working area.
  • Material Handling – loads/unloads materials/tools
  • Installation – measures/marks property lines/post placement, dig holes, sets posts, mixes concrete, installs (terminal post, line post, tension bands, chain link fence, brace bands, eye post, tie downs, top rails, etc.). 
  • Safety – must wear PPE (hard hat, steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
  • Must be willing to help with laborer work
  • Must be willing to operate Heavy Equipment.
