About The Position

Canyon Fuel Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Wolverine Fuels, LLC, has an immediate opening for a full-time Mine Engineer. We are an underground coal mining company with operations in Central Utah, located within close proximity to Salina, Huntington, and Price Utah. The overall job purpose is to assist the Engineering department to provide various engineering support activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining/Civil/Mechanical) or equivalent experience
• Engineer in Training (EIT)
• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• Experience in underground continuous and longwall mining methods
• Experience in project management

Responsibilities

• Proficient understanding of engineering principles (soil/rock mechanics, steel design, hydraulics/pump networks, ventilation, conveyors, electricity, economics)
• Excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
