About The Position

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, providing a nurturing and structured environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This role involves living on campus and guiding a group of approximately 8-12 students, ensuring their well-being and supporting their educational journey.

Requirements

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from underserved settings.
• Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses should be age 27 or older.
• Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in educational or caregiving roles.
• Familiarity with Judeo-Christian values and practices.

Responsibilities

• Reside in on-campus student homes and provide guidance to students.
• Administer medication and manage budgeting for household needs.
• Drive students to various activities and appointments.
• Report on student progress and any issues that arise.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Judeo-Christian chapel services.
