You will report directly to our Facilities Manager and you’ll work out of our South Bend, IN location with an onsite work schedule. In this role, you will impact the operational efficiency of our facilities by ensuring that all machinery and equipment are functioning optimally, thus supporting our commitment to quality and safety. Requirements

  • At least six (6) years of experience in facilities maintenance or millwright work.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to millwright tasks.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop proper rigging techniques for moving/repositioning machines and equipment
  • Move machine tools and plant equipment
  • Fabricate and erect steel and other structures
  • Maintain oil levels to all the Machines
  • Install and repair overhead cranes, conveyors, and elevating devices
  • Maintain mechanical portions of motion control devices including but not limited to spindles, belts, bearings, gear boxes, sheaves, ball screws, turrets and drive shafts
  • Perform precision installation and alignment of mechanical components (e.g. pumps, bearings, gears, bushings, shafts, couplers, etc.)
  • Perform repairs to machine guards and guarding systems
  • Perform basic equipment servicing (cleaning, lubrication, coolant, filters, etc.)
