About The Position

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Millwright who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location on our 3x3 Schedule, Day Shift 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. This person will report to Maintenance Manager. Job Duties and Responsibilities To efficiently build, inspect, repair, tryout and adjust equipment such as presses, product finishing equipment, furnaces, gas crackers, heat treaters, robotic equipment, shot blasters, cranes, tumblers and other complex manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision. To accurately make parts and fixtures needed. To read and follow blueprints with minimal aid for the engineering department. To efficiently install, maintain and troubleshoot essential service systems and equipment such as gas, water, heat, ventilation, sanitary and air compressors. To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification and share his/her knowledge with all classifications to improve in repair issues as well as uptime within the facility. Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information. Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from data collected to insure results. Provide active input to continuous process improvement. Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors along with others with a need to know. Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas. Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal. Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures. Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years’ experience preferred
  • Able to read and understand procedures, prints, and equipment manuals.
  • Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
  • Understands decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Able to make detailed sketches or drawings of a technical nature.
