Requirements

  • A state indentured millwright card, associate degree in mechanics, electro-mechanical or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs., sit and or stand up to 12 hrs. at a time, stairs, & ladders when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, manuals and schematics to determine repair and assembly procedures.
  • Dismantle and move machinery and equipment
  • Assemble and install equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns
  • Metal fabrication, pipe fitting, hydraulics repair and carpentry.
  • Operate shop equipment to grind, file, mill, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
  • Maintain company vehicles.
  • Operate forklifts and scissor lifts; adhere to all plant and equipment safety requirements; serve and consult in matters involving machine and plant safety.
  • Performs all work orders as assigned.
  • Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled, including laser alignment, leveling and squaring of equipment and replacing broken components.
  • Practices safety at all times in compliance with company safety mission and philosophy, including following lock-out/tag-out and confined space entry procedures.
  • Adheres to plant housekeeping requirements and follows all good manufacturing practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams and activities
