About The Position
The position involves safely and efficiently performing machine labor for equipment and machinery common to maritime vessels and/or general industry. This includes working with pumps, valves, winches, and gearboxes. The role requires an aggressive work ethic with a focus on production, and the ability to apply basic machine shop math, demonstrate layout proficiency, and disassemble various types of equipment and machinery. The candidate will be responsible for the overhaul, maintenance, and testing of various mechanical systems and will need to set up and operate portable machining tools while ensuring the proper care and safe use of hand and power tools.
