Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts when needed
  • 3-5 years of experience in a cement plant or related industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical and millwright skills
  • Proven experience with bearing and motor replacements, motor alignments, equipment rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with compressors, screw conveyors, belt conveyors, elevators, gearboxes, and various pumps
  • Completion of a welding certification program from an accredited institution
  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs on cement plant equipment
  • Understanding basic cement manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in using measuring devices and interpreting tolerances
  • Experience with lubrication systems, troubleshooting, basic hydraulics, and equipment part nomenclature
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manufacturer specifications
  • Skilled in operating oxy-acetylene and electrical welding/cutting equipment for welding or cutting various metals
  • Ability to install new equipment and machinery as required
  • Proficiency in motor and equipment alignments, vibration analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Commitment to safety protocols in all job responsibilities
  • Willingness to maintain clean and orderly workspaces, including tools and equipment
  • Physically capable of bending, kneeling, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting as required by the role
  • High level of manual dexterity, coordination, and eye-hand coordination

Nice To Haves

  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical repairs on plant and quarry equipment
  • Install, maintain, and replace new or existing equipment
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure smooth plant operations
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check, physical examination, and drug screening in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
