About The Position

AKHIRE is currently recruiting a crew of Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (skilled trade). Preferably, applicants should also have some mine experience. We work on immovable machinery like crushers and conveyors at mine sites. We go out on contracts that we receive with the mines within the state of Alaska. In most cases, these jobs come with some travel, food and lodging while you are on site at the mine. Most jobs will require overtime work, which will add to your average hourly pay. Some assignments might last for a few days, most can be for weeks and some can turn into long-term placements.

Requirements

• Must be a resident of Alaska or actively planning to relocate to Alaska.
• One year of Millwright / Industrial Mechanic experience on non-movable machinery and/or two years welding and fabrication experience required.
• MSHA certification is required of all workers.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must pass a full background check before placement at the mines.
