About The Position

The Millwright I position at Zachry Group involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery, particularly in Power Generation plants. Requirements

• Minimum of 4-5 years of industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years of Millwright experience in Power Generation plants.
• Proficient in using industrial hand tools and power tools.
• Must possess all Journeyman Precision Millwright hand tools.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• NCCER Certification for Journeyman Industrial Millwright.
• Basic computer skills.
• Formal or technical education in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment in Power Generation plants.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical manuals to determine work procedures.
• Use precision leveling and alignment tools to measure angles and material thickness.
• Fit bearings, align gears and wheels, and connect motors according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools and power tools.
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting and conveyors.
• Operate engine lathes, grinders, and other machinery as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair worn parts.
• Document scope of work and maintain accurate records of work performed.
