About The Position

A Millwright Apprentice trains on-the-job daily to become a Millwright. A Millwright is a tradesman responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, repair, relocation, and rebuild of CNC (computer-controlled) Machine Tools, and often more basic industrial automation systems used in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Written and verbal proficiency of the english language
  • Demonstrates basic interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with all departments within the company
  • Punctuality for shift, meetings, etc.
  • Strong team player
  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
  • Able to stand, walk, bend down and climb on and around equipment for extended time periods
  • Able to work in a noisy, dirty, and inherently dangerous environment

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning machinery, material-handling equipment, and the facility.
  • Installation, calibration, maintenance, repair, relocation, and rebuild of many types of machines and industrial automation equipment.
  • Troubleshooting Electromechanical Servo systems, Hydraulic Servo systems, and Pneumatic Servo systems.
  • Troubleshooting, and programming PLC-controlled machinery
  • Assists in identifying and procuring needed parts and supplies
  • Basic fabrication of small repair parts and/or assemblies
  • Building a high-performance work area and tool crib to support the above maintenance and repair activities.
