About The Position

A-Lert Construction Services, a division of Centurion Industries, Inc., is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Gastonia, NC. We specialize in heavy industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication, and repair services across various processing industries, including corn and oilseeds, food, meat, chemical, energy cogeneration, biofuels, and wood pulp/paper/fiber products. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, dismantling, and moving machinery and heavy equipment, as well as fabricating and assembling structural steel and sheet metal products according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings. This role requires the use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. You will be expected to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, dismantle machines and structures using appropriate tools, and assemble and install machinery and equipment. In addition to the technical skills required for this position, you will need to demonstrate the ability to work within precise standards of accuracy, follow oral and written directions, and maintain a high level of productivity. The physical demands of the job include the ability to see well (with or without correction), climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding, and lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
