A Millwork Manager in Training (MMIT) can expect to learn all aspects of managing a millwork plant by training and working in all assigned areas of the facility by performing the following duties: Learns all the basic duties and responsibilities of all millwork plant positions, especially the Assistant Manager position, through institutional and on-the-job training provided during the Management Development Program. Must consistently achieve a passing score in all areas of the Management Development Program, including classroom instruction/skills training, hands-on skills practice, and testing/assessment. During or after the successful completion of the Management Development Program, applies for open Millwork Assistant Manager positions as they become available. After successful completion of the Management Development Program, can demonstrate working knowledge of the following responsibilities (note: this list is not inclusive): operate the company's point-of-sale system to process customer transactions, and compile product and quotes/estimates. Ensures quality customer service including how to build and maintain customer relationships. Can resolve customer complaints as necessary. Assist internal customers with product questions. Can assign and train new team members on mastered tasks and responsibilities. Attend and participate in store meetings, training sessions, and company-sponsored programs. Other duties as assigned by management or by business need.
