About The Position

Stevens Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Millwork Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for custom millwork projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and production data. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of millwork materials and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating, preferably in millwork, cabinetry, or construction.
• Familiarity with millwork materials, manufacturing processes, and installation methods.
• Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, Excel, or similar tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements related to millwork.
• Identify key cost factors including materials, labor, production time, and installation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to gather accurate data.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to gather firsthand information.
• Use estimating software and spreadsheets to develop detailed cost breakdowns.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive estimate reports and bid packages.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Provide input on project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
