About The Position

The Millroom Operator is responsible for performing tasks in all areas of the Millroom, including Banbury, Chemical Weigh-Up, Warm-Up Mill, and Slab-Off Mill. This role involves operating equipment safely and efficiently while following established processes to produce quality compound materials.

Requirements

Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
Comfortable working in dusty environments and with temperature fluctuations.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) and perform bending and lifting.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Must follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate Millroom equipment, controls, temperature recorders, and cycle clocks.
Properly use all control systems and follow standard operating procedures.
Understand raw material codes, mixing instructions, accelerators, cure systems, oils, and DLCs.
Ensure batch-to-batch consistency and verify materials before mixing.
Demonstrate knowledge of the mixing process and slab-off procedures.
Complete in-process inspection sheets and production reports accurately.
Maintain clean equipment and work areas.
Participate in inventory processes as needed.
Rotate through all areas of the department.
Perform all duties assigned within the Millroom.
