Requirements

  • Experience operating heavy-duty forklifts (Taylor lift) is required; knowledge of yard operations and equipment preferred.
  • Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, cooperative with supervisors and coworkers, and able to handle physically demanding work.
  • Ability to walk around trucks and inspect fluids and conditions.
  • Climb up and down 5 steps for truck ingress/egress up to 12 times per 12-hour shift.
  • Hook/unhook airlines for trailers up to 75 times per 12-hour shift.
  • Dismount truck and position wood dunnage weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Steer and stop truck and trailer weighing up to 90,000 lbs during 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy-duty forklifts (Taylor lift), yard vehicles, and equipment.
  • Comply with all Safe Job Instructions (SJIs), training requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Receive and inspect inbound loads, complete paperwork, and supervise unloading personnel.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, verify product integrity and counts, and ensure proper trailer/container loading.
  • Maintain inventory controls, keep a clean and safe work environment, and report any hazards or issues to the supervisor.
