Requirements

  • Good Math skills
  • 10 key calculator skills
  • No performance work actions in the last 6 months
  • No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
  • PHYSICAL: No current restrictions prohibiting working in a dusty environment & in all weather conditions
  • No current restrictions prohibiting lifting to 50 lbs. repetitively
  • No current restrictions prohibiting the use of personal safety equipment
  • To be considered for this position you must have completed six (6) months in your present position. Team Members with less than six (6) months may be considered for promotion or transfer based on the needs of the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or three years of feed mill experience
  • Experience with all batching, pelleting, receiving, and loading functions of a feed mill
  • Two years in a shift lead person position or equivalent experience
  • One-year mechanical experience or training

Responsibilities

  • In charge of all bulk receiving, housekeeping, and quality control operations for the shift
  • Monitor quality of ingredients received
  • Responsible for accurate sample testing and record keeping of ingredients
  • Unload ingredients into proper bins
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist in all housekeeping functions at the mill
  • Perform minor repairs on all mill equipment
  • Allocate manpower and make daily operating decisions when manager is not present
  • Perform all Operator B & C duties and responsibilities when required
