Requirements

• Knowledge of the HMI's and computer skills necessary to perform essential daily functions of the job.
• Knowledge of the QST machine and its functionality.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1-year mill operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the mill to maintain quality section and required tonnage output.
• Operate NYSII cranes and area mill equipment, such as the Reheat, BD, UR/E, and sample inspection.
• Understand mill set up, pass schedules, product tracking, cut sheets, and the operation of the QST machine.
• Assist in all other activities on the crew such as product changes, housekeeping, and down day repairs.
• Work in extreme temperatures, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
