About The Position
The Mill Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and adjusting three pellet mills, performing quality control testing of finished pellets, and testing incoming raw materials for moisture content. The role includes performing roll changes on pellet mills using an overhead hoist and conducting routine inspections of the process to identify any issues or problems. The operator will assist the dryer operator in maintaining pellet moisture levels and will measure and record various quality metrics to ensure compliance with PFI standards. The position requires continuous monitoring for equipment malfunctions and maintaining a clean work area.
