This role requires adherence to safety and quality systems while performing physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- LEVEL OF TRAINING All applicable QS/ISO Procedures All applicable Plant safety procedures and policies All levels of production duties and qualifications listed above
- Ability to reason through problems involving adjustments to equipment.
- Must have an average background in math.
- Also is expected to be able to lift , push or pull a maximum 100 pounds.
- Required to walk, stand, or climb for the entire shift.
- Must be able to bend, squat and have full range of all limbs without restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Assist mill operator in changeover of mill.
- Constantly monitors quality of tube for surface condition, measures for I.D. flash, O.D. size, gauge, length, end condition and checks for tube straightness
- Makes adjustments to or replaces cutoff tooling as needed
- Lubricates cutoff, greases bearings, oils gear boxes as time permits
- Assist in eddy current setup and maintains painting unit
- Helps mill loader when possible
- Keeps heat numbers separate
- Documents weld mill final inspection sheet as needed
- Aids in training of new employees
- Cleans all areas of the plant when not directed to do anything else
- Performs miscellaneous duties as directed.
- The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers.
