About The Position

The position involves operating and adjusting four pellet mills and regulating dryer inlet and outlet temperatures according to specifications. The operator will oversee and monitor bin levels, regulate material mix to achieve optimal pellet moisture and density ratios, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, spot fires, and hot bearings. Daily responsibilities include maintaining pellet mill feed rates, adjusting or changing pellet mill rolls/dies, and completing daily reports detailing temperature readings, moisture levels, density checks, and estimating tonnage. The role requires flexibility in shift schedules, with rotating shifts from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of production experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
• Process controls experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass company forklift certification.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs waist high and stand for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to use catwalks and climb ladders up to 60 feet high.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
