Basic Job Functions: The Reheat Operator will ensure proper tracking of our product and fill our orders for those products. The Reheat Operator will coordinate with the Bloom Yard Crane Operators to charge the correct semi-finished material for the rolling order. The Reheat Operator will work with the Cooling bed operator, and Finishing to ensure the proper material is produced and tracked through the system. The Reheat Operator will operate the charge roll line, charge machine, reheat, discharge machine, and reject roll line. The Reheat Operator will maintain the reheat area equipment and help with repairs to all equipment in the rolling bay as needed (welding, torch cutting, and assorted hand tools). The reheat operator will help with roll changes and cut up scrap. In addition, the operator will be required to assist in other job functions on the crew as needed. The Reheat Operator will work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous 1 year rolling mill experience
