About The Position

The custodian will be responsible and accountable for supporting daily plant operations by ensuring continual cleanliness and housekeeping of the plant facility, offices, and grounds throughout the day.

Requirements

• Janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English is required; however, bilingual skills may be preferred based on business necessity.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Minimum age: 18.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Requisition / replenish appropriate custodial supplies as directed.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum the lobby, office, and break room.
• Continually inspect for and dispose of all debris; maintain entryways and walkways.
• Clean interior surface areas.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock washrooms.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent, regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
