Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years related experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Underwriter/Broker Senior in servicing and operational management of accounts.
• Underwrite, service, and manage assigned accounts.
• Meet Production and Service goals assigned and be measured on attainment of both.
• Underwrite individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis.
• Determine whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features.
• Maintain frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.
