About The Position

The State of Vermont Military Department is seeking a skilled Military Maintenance Specialist to join our team in South Burlington. This civilian military department position will have key responsibilities in various areas including structural systems, general maintenance, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Background check for base access and government computer access.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on structural systems, including roofs, walls, floors, and foundations.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing door handles and locks.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of structural components, such as doors and windows.
• Manage maintenance schedules and records.
• Order and inventory parts and materials for work orders.
• Prepare reports and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Air Force Standards.
• Assist other shops as needed.
• Respond to emergency call-ins after hours and weekends.
