This is a pipeline job requisition for our future expansion of "MISO/PSYOP" OR "IO Planner" positions. We staff these positions in CONUS: Omaha, NE / Tampa, FL / Ft. Meade, MD / Colorado Springs, CO / Norfolk, VA / Doral, FL / San Antonio, TX / Tyndall, AFB, FL and OCONUS: Kuwait / Qatar / Germany / Italy. Peraton searches for experienced psychological operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) or IO planners to integrate MISO functions and tasks into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD) / Unified Command level planning, and to ensure the command group and staff consider PSYOP/MISO in the decision-making process. As our MISO OR IO Planner you will have the opportunity to plan, develop, integrate, and assess PSYOP/MISO into campaign plans, OPLANS, and in crisis to ensure that PSYOP/MISO capabilities are considered in the deliberate and crisis action planning processes. You will provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment skills, and be creative in using information systems and information related capabilities (IRC); integrate with interagency and intelligence community (IC); develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE) and consider significant or key cultural aspects that affect operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments. You will demonstrate the ability to review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational-level IO-related directives in support of mission elements. You will be effective at applying technical skills to tactical, operational, and strategic level planning/execution, identifying and tracking measures of performance through attainment of measures of effectiveness, and providing advice concerning the application of PSYOP/MISO during the development of operational concepts. Utilize your expert level oral, visual, & written communications and briefing techniques to effectively advise, negotiate and persuade various managers, military officials, and senior leaders to gain acceptance of recommended concepts, ideas, guidance, policies and regulations.

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA.
  • May consider an additional six years of relevant experience or Associates degree and an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of planning experience in the PSYOP (37A/37F) or IO Planner (FA30) career field or other related military equivalents.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with MISO or IO planning and execution at the service or joint level.
  • Knowledge in joint operational planning process, military decision-making process, and military campaign plan planning.
  • Expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational level PSYOP/MISO plans, orders, and series.
  • Knowledge of service departments (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force) functions and their relationships to CCMDs.
  • Familiarity with other core, supporting, and related IO competencies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and possession of a U.S. Passport.
  • Active top secret with eligibility to obtain SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance prior to start date.
  • Experience with joint and/or combined military operations and inter-agency coordination.
  • Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army service doctrine, regulations, and policies.
  • Capable of recommending changes to policy, force structure and design, and command relationships.
  • Able to plan, integrate, execute, and assess PSYOP/MISO into plans and operations.
  • Knowledge of military command relationships and command and control (C2) procedures.
  • Able to coordinate PSYOP/MISO actions within the proper military and inter-agency channels.
  • Ability to engage senior leaders and staff and conduct complex briefings to large audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively within a task organized working groups.
  • Expertise in planning, integrating, and coordinating with inter-agency and intelligence community entities.
  • Adept at developing and utilizing information products that leverage current and emerging technologies.
  • Must demonstrate creative and critical thinking, capable of quickly learning new skills, flexible and adaptable.
