About The Position

Peraton is seeking an experienced psychological operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) planner to integrate MISO functions and tasks into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD) / Unified Command level planning, and to ensure the command group and staff consider PSYOP/MISO in the decision-making process. This is an on-site position in the Ft. Meade, MD area (no remote or hybrid work options). As our PSYOP/MISO Planner you will have the opportunity to integrate PSYOP/MISO into all contingency plans and operations plans and ensure that PSYOP/MISO capabilities are considered in the deliberate and crisis action planning processes. You will provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment skills, and be creative in using information systems and information related capabilities (IRC). You will integrate with interagency and intelligence community (IC), develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE), and consider significant or key cultural aspects that affect operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA.
  • 4 additional related experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • MISO or PSYOP (37A/37F) career field or similar military equivalents.
  • Knowledge in joint operational planning process, military decision-making process, and military campaign plan planning.
  • Expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational level PSYOP/MISO plans and orders.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with MISO planning at the service or joint level.
  • Knowledge of service departments (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force) functions and their relationships to CCMDs.
  • Experience with joint and/or combined military operations and interagency coordination.
  • Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army service doctrine, regulations, and policies.
  • Capable of recommending changes to policy, force structure and design, and command relationships.
  • Proficient in integrating PSYOP/MISO capabilities into cyber plans and operations.
  • Knowledge of military command relationships and command and control (C2) procedures.
  • Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations.
  • Familiar with Military Deception (MILDEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyberspace operations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current U.S. Passport.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to complete/pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate PSYOP/MISO into all contingency plans and operations plans.

  • Develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE).
  • Review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational-level IO-related directives.
  • Apply technical skills to tactical, operational, and strategic level planning/execution.
  • Support related IO competencies to assist CCMD planners.
  • Provide oral, visual, & written communications and briefing techniques.
  • Advise, negotiate and persuade various managers, military officials, and senior leaders.
