About The Position

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped product fulfill all quality requirements. You'll be responsible for visually inspecting our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, as well as recording observations and making recommendations for improving processes. You'll inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll apply our quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection.

Requirements

  • Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings.
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Experience with finished goods inspection.
  • Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES.
  • Basic understanding of material flow in operations.
  • Ability to draft work instructions and SOP's.
  • Experience with Network+, Security+, CCNA and/or A+.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards.
