About The Position

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. As a Product Support Engineer, you will be using your skills and hands-on expertise to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our product and system prototypes. You'll be responsible for assessing our customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution for concept and prototype products and systems. You're technical responsibilities include product installation, testing, error/defect detection and correction, and coordinating the appropriate corrective action with engineers and operators. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 10 or more years of related experience.
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
  • Progressive hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers.
  • Communication and customer interface skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with rotary wing avionics and aircraft maintenance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics.
  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors.
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.
  • Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization.

Responsibilities
