About The Position

Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals for the Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team to support Dyess Air Force Base. This role involves providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach to military service members and their families, addressing the unique emotional and environmental challenges they face due to military life. The Adult-MFLC will engage in face-to-face counseling, participate in community activities, and offer presentations to promote well-being among military families.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
• Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to pass a basic background check for employment and a Child National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individuals, couples, and families).
• Engage in activities with service members, military spouses, and families; provide coaching and support to installation staff.
• Offer presentations to service members, military families, and military leadership at military-connect events.
• Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.
• Assist with transition adjustments, such as new schools and homes.
• Participate in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.
• Communicate trends and issues at assigned installations to Team Leads.
