About The Position

The Clinical Fellow will provide evidence-based treatment to veterans and their families, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. This role involves gaining training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and delivering treatment in a measurement-based, time-limited environment. The Fellow will focus on individual, couples, and family therapy, emphasizing evidence-based care for mood disorders, PTSD, and adjustment disorders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited university.
• Credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LMFT Associate, or LMSW at time of hire.
• Minimum of one year of practicum/internship experience working with adults, children, couples, and families.
• Knowledge in DSM-V diagnoses and experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint and Access are a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with military populations and/or Veterans is strongly preferred.
• Certification or documented proficiency in evidence-based practices such as PE, CBT, and CPT.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment for veterans and their families, building to 20+ contact hours weekly.
• Perform and document patient screenings, psychosocial assessments, and clinical intake assessments as needed.
• Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy with a focus on evidence-based treatments.
• Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, and case management to provide optimal patient care.
• Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
• Provide services via telehealth as required.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by prioritizing the needs of clients.
