The DPHM Military Data & Platforms Engineer will be responsible for the development of our data ingestion / ETL pipelines and our big data processing tool, as part of our military data platform. In this role, the DPHM Principal Engineer will collaborate with a large cross-section of P&W engineering and sustainment teams as well the engine end customer to identify CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) capability. This position type is on-site but does not require a security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 8 years of experience in engineering with a bachelor's degree and 5 with an advanced degree
  • US Person Status required due to government contracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in at least one major coding language (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in Python and related libraries/frameworks (NumPy, Pandas, etc.)
  • Experience developing and optimizing cloud-based applications and services, preferably in AWS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience developing front-end applications in React / JavaScript
  • Experience working in Agile teams and exposure to Agile software development methods
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with version control software such as Git
  • Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop distributed big data applications to support a wide variety of flight data analysis needs across a large engineering organization.
  • Take requirements from a large user base and translate them into functional software that supports those needs.
  • Engage in the development of flight data analytics designed to support fleets of military engine programs.
