About The Position

Apogee Solutions, a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Military Analyst for Operations & Plans in Fort Rucker, AL to support the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE), which is responsible for overall direction, guidance and execution of Aviation Branch functions related to Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) development, integration and synchronization. AVCOE maintains a total Army perspective in managing programs and keeps the Army leadership fully apprised of program status to include problems, which could affect the Army’s ultimate commitment to aviation programs. The Military Analyst for Operations & Plans will facilitate collaboration and coordination across the Aviation enterprise, including but not limited to support for key meetings such as the General Officer Steering Committees, Councils of Colonels, Army Aviation Synchronization Meetings, Aviation Senior Leader Forum, and other critical meetings, forums, and summit events.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check, to include Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check and National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI)
  • Active, adjudicated SECRET Security Clearance documented in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience as a Planner/Military Analyst in Army Aviation. Expertise may come from rotary wing, fixed wing, or unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operations
  • Must have experience planning and synchronizing operations, developing timelines, and facilitating teams.
  • Must be familiar with data literacy, and knowledge management concepts and practice. Experience stemming from service at the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE), Combined Arms Center (CAC), Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC), or Army Futures Command (AFC) is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, mission-driven settings while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations
  • Possess strong business acumen and professional judgment, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organized

Nice To Haves

  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is preferred for this position

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert business, analytical, and technical support to the AVCOE G-5, directly contributing to the achievement of its strategic goals.
  • Deliver support to the five core lines of effort – Aviation Enterprise Synchronization, Strategic Communication Alignment, Future Aviation Capability Input, Strengthened Foreign Liaison Program, and Proactive Strategic Planning Cycle.
  • Facilitate informed decision-making aligned with Army priorities and ensure continuity of support for Aviation Warfighters worldwide, spanning locations at Fort Rucker, AL, Fort Eustis, VA, and Fort Huachuca, AZ.
