Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and experience supervising staff within a therapeutic milieu
  • Current valid US issued driver's license and a registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including transporting clients in your own vehicle or a company vehicle
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience with knowledge about clinical mental health and positive behavioral supports
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and ability to contribute to team objectives required
  • Must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Background Check) and a DCF/CPS (Department of Families Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services background check)

Nice To Haves

  • Degree and/or coursework in social work, counseling, psychology or related field

Responsibilities

  • Ability to observe, document, teach, and respond to mental and physical health needs
  • Knowledge of program, agency, and licensing policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of crisis management and verbal de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to complete all written documentation and coordination of shifts
  • Set up shift to include location and activities of all clients, schedule appointments, visits, and collaborate on discharge planning
  • Ensure documentation is completed at the end of every shift and supervise staff in accurate and consistent reporting of client progress, ensure that client shift summaries are included in the communication log
  • Notify program director of significant (urgent) events such as injuries, altercations, building or safety issues; and notify guardians of significant events.
