Job Summary The Route Associate at Mighty maintains parts business from assigned accounts through personal and phone contacts. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory with wholesale automotive parts, shop supplies and other items at gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver license at the time of hire.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Employer sponsored forklift certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Employer sponsored DOT hazardous material certification required withing the first 30 days of employment.

  • Previous experience in the automotive parts industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain all training requirements including some offsite training seminars and classes.
  • Achieve and maintain the highest standards promoting an ethical, productive, volume focused, profitable communicative, and welcoming working environment and overall culture.
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle and diligently perform all duties in a safe manner, including basic daily vehicle inspections, filling with gas, keeping clean.
  • Efficiently manage customer base assigned maintaining inventory levels, properly shelving and labeling, rotating and keeping stock fresh.
  • Develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and customer stakeholders.
  • Perform general scheduled maintenance and repairs when applicable to customers and company owned fluid exchange machines.
  • Use technology to produce reports, enter orders, update customer information, refresh inventories, verify inventory levels.
  • Reviews inventory information with the assigned customer contact(s).
  • Complete service calls accurately providing excellent customer service.
  • Collects payments and other required documents.
  • Loads and unloads products at specified locations.
  • Write customer returns accurately.
  • Reviews any special orders with the manager and obtains his/her approval.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
  • Acts as a public relations liaison for the organization.
  • Able to work longer shifts as necessary.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.
