JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with sheet metal, performing MIG and TIG welding, and assembling projects to precise specifications. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, work independently and collaboratively, and consistently produce high-quality work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges
  • Ability to accurately identify and measure materials
  • Consistently produce high-quality work that meets specifications
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and improve
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with shears, layout work, finish grinding, and TIG welding is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Accurately read and use a tape measure
  • Work independently and collaboratively to assemble projects within a tolerance of 1/32 inch
  • Work with sheet metal and occasionally heavier gauge materials
  • Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum based on project requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications
  • Select appropriate welding equipment and methods based on material and job requirements
  • Produce welds that meet required quality and specification standards
  • Inspect welds for bead size, appearance, and overall quality
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects (e.g., leak testing, magnetic particle testing)
  • Grind excess weld, remove spatter, and complete necessary finishing and touch-ups
  • Maintain welding equipment in safe working condition and report any issues
