About The Position

MIG Welder for cabinets and racks fabricates, assembles, and welds metal components using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) techniques based on blueprints and customers specifications. Key duties include operating welding equipment, ensuring structural integrity, finishing surfaces (grinding/sanding), and adhering to safety protocols. Warehouse production environment, managing wire feed, gas flow, and voltage to meet quality and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities: Fabrication & Welding: Perform MIG welding on sheet metal and structural components, utilizing jigs and fixtures to maintain accuracy and minimize distortion.   Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and weld symbols to plan procedures. Equipment Setup: Adjust welder settings including voltage, amperage, wire feed speed, and shielding gas flow. Preparation & Finishing: Clean and prepare surfaces; grind or sand and finish welded parts. Quality Control: Inspect completed joints for defects (porosity, cracks) to meet strength and cosmetic standards. Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to 5S standards, maintain a clean workspace, and perform basic machine maintenance.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1+ years of industrial welding experience.
  • Skills: Ability to read blueprints, read / Write and understand verbal instructions proficiency in GMAW/MIG techniques, and knowledge of metal properties.
  • Physical: Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50lbs, Push, Bend, Pull, Stand for long periods, and work in varied temperatures.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; technical school training is preferred.
