About The Position

The Organizing Department at FWD.us is the center of our organizing efforts. Our team is ambitious and optimistic -- we are constantly pressing to identify breakthrough opportunities in advocating for immigration policies that will make the American Dream achievable in the 21st century. We believe in building strong relationships because engaged communities are the ones that multiply impact. The Midwest Organizing Director plays a key role in our organizing efforts in the tech community and the immigration reform movement. You will be responsible for engaging startups, tech companies, and business leaders in the fight for commonsense immigration reform; building relationships with local elected officials; and working closely with immigration coalitions in Chicago and the surrounding midwest. You should be excited to bring new voices to speak out for reform, including conservative leaders and stakeholders, interested in bipartisan cooperation, and energized by a fast-moving campaign environment. The position will be based out of our Chicago office, though there will be some travel expected to surrounding Midwestern states as well as DC.
