About The Position

The Midstream Regulatory & Compliance Lead at Spire Inc. is responsible for developing and implementing compliance procedures and plans for the company's natural gas pipeline and gas storage facilities. This role involves monitoring compliance activities, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, and coordinating with various departments to maintain regulatory compliance. The position requires a strong understanding of regulatory processes and the ability to lead compliance initiatives effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related regulatory or midstream industry experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, FERC, EPA, and State regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Spire Midstream compliance related plans, programs and procedures.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Spire Midstream compliance programs including Operator Qualification training, Public Awareness, and Integrity Management.
  • Maintain compliance manuals, policies, and procedures according to company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the updating and maintenance of inspection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulatory Agency permitting and licensing.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance through on-site inspections and recommend improvements.
  • Support internal audits to determine program effectiveness and identify issues.
  • Coordinate, file, and maintain operating permits and reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Lead preparation of all required compliance reports for State and Federal agencies.
  • Interface with management, legal, and regulatory agencies regarding compliance activities.
  • Stay updated on new and revised regulations and support necessary changes.
  • Provide guidance on permitting and operating requirements to ensure compliance.
