About The Position

Join Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting! We are looking for a new Midlevel Giving Officer to join the team. This position plays a pivotal role in revenue generation for the organization. The Midlevel Giving Officer (Donor Relations Officer) develops and implements listener-generated fundraising strategies to ensure continued revenue growth and long-term financial stability at Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation. The Midlevel Giving Officer (DRO) will partner closely with the other two Midlevel Giving Officers and the Director of Membership in developing and implementing strategies to raise funds for 90.5 WESA and 91.3 WYEP from individuals giving between $250 - $999 annually. The midlevel giving program's goals are to enhance the experience of midlevel donors, to increase their retention rates, and to increase their giving over time.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, Canva, or compatible programs.
• High level of comfort navigating a nonprofit environment in a hybrid setting, including managing multiple tasks effectively and working productively to help grow the organization.
• 3-5 years of progressive responsibility in fundraising or related experience, preferably with a focus on individual donors, managing a portfolio, and membership programs.
• Proven success in fundraising through face-to-face, direct mail, telemarketing, email, and online giving.
• Occasional evening and weekend work is required as well as some long days during peak fundraising times (donor events and on-air membership drives).
• Honesty and integrity in all dealings.
• Enthusiasm for the missions of PCBC and its stations.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategies, including qualification, cultivation, solicitations, and stewardship, to grow individual membership giving in midlevel range ($250 - $999) and meet revenue goals for midlevel giving.
• Maintain relationships with 500 - 700 midlevel donors in a tiered portfolio.
• Engage donors through consistent communication to cultivate, steward, and solicit them using various channels including phone, email, mail, and occasionally face-to-face.
• Work closely with the other two Midlevel Giving Officer (DROs) to design and implement all midlevel giving campaigns. Both officers will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager on the overall annual fundraising calendar and department messaging with the goal of maximizing revenue in all areas.
• Cultivate relationships through personal touchpoints for donors based on their interests and giving.
• Promptly acknowledges gifts from donors in portfolio.
• Works closely with the Donor and Operations Manager on weekly thank you letters and annual tax receipts.
• Keep accurate communication records in CRM and develop reports to track and report on progress.
• Work with the other two Midlevel Giving Officer (DROs) and Individual Giving Manager to ensure that segmentation, coding, and reporting for all members are serving WESA and WYEP needs.
• Implement and utilize the wealth screening engine and other tools.
• Keep up to date with tax laws pertinent to charitable giving and keep current on community issues that pertain to WESA and WYEP and their mission.
• Assist with station membership on-air fundraisers including planning, implementing and production.
• Oversee any drive communication to the 500 - 700 midlevel donors in tiered portfolio.
• Work closely with fellow fundraising team members to ensure success of overall department goals, long-term growth, and donor retention.
• Attend WESA and WYEP program, cultivation and stewardship events as needed.
• Other miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
