About The Position

The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is actively recruiting individuals with varying levels of experience, including recent graduates, to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students, fostering academic growth, and ensuring mastery of the Georgia Performance Standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university (conferred)
  • Certification/Licensure Must hold or be eligible to hold a Georgia teaching certificate in the applicable field
  • Experience collaborating with instructional teams and adapting practices to meet student and staff needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the effective use of technology for instruction and communication
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and initiative with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in using technology for data analysis, communication, and instructional planning
  • Working knowledge of current research, best practices, and resources in content areas
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES) standards
  • Provide content-related and developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with TMSA’s curriculum programs
  • Integrate appropriate technology into classroom instruction
  • Foster an academically rich, positive classroom environment that promotes active scholar learning and development
  • Demonstrate knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment
  • Communicate professionally and responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership
  • Facilitate home–school communication through conferences, phone calls, and written or electronic correspondence
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians in all aspects of the scholar’s educational program
  • Adhere to all SPED, SST, 504, and IEP plans and required accommodations
  • Prepare appropriate plans and materials for instructional continuity during absences
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and punctuality
  • Follow all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
  • Uphold professional ethics in all work-related activities
  • Avoid behaviors that negatively impact staff morale
  • Support TMSA goals, initiatives, programs, and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principals
