This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 7-hour day, 10-month position aligned with the school calendar year. The role involves providing instruction to Alternative Education middle school students in core subject areas. The educator will administer state assessments and employ engaging and diversified instructional strategies to cater to the various learning styles of all students. Additionally, the position requires the use of assessment data to identify learning gaps among students and to monitor their academic progress, including tracking progress/marking period grades and attendance. The educator will also implement 504 plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring effective classroom management and supervision. Collaboration with other teachers and counselors in Alternative Education is essential, as is regular consultation with parents, teachers, home school counselors, and others involved in the education of each student. The educator will also carry out all other duties as assigned.
